- 1 tbsp butter
- 12 chicken thighs
- 1 onion diced
- 1 garlic clove crushed
- 1 celery stalk chopped
- 2 carrots diced
- 3 cups chicken stock
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp spice for chicken
- salt and pepper to taste
Dumplings
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¾ tsp salt
- 3 tbsp butter melted
- ½ - ¾ cup milk
- ½ tsp mixed herbs
Fry onions and garlic in butter.
Add chicken and brown somewhat.
Add stock, celery and spices and bring to a boil.
Turn down heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Dumplings
Mix together melted butter and dry ingredients.
Add milk. The batter should be runny.
Put spoonfuls of batter over the chicken.
Add a lid and cook for a further 10 - 15 minutes.
