Ingredients
  

  • 250 ml cake flour
  • 1 egg
  • 125 ml milk
  • 5 ml baking powder
  • 2 ml salt
  • 125 ml oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Sift the dry ingredients together into a bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg lightly and add to the dry ingredients, add the milk and mix the batter until smooth.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan and drop tablespoonfuls of batter into the hot oil. 
  • Fry for 2-3min on one side, then turn and fry for another minute on the other side. 
  • Serve hot with butter and jam.
