4 Gem Squashes 1 tsp salt 1 liter water 80 grams butter 4 tsp sugar
Prick each squash twice with a fork
Boil in salt water for approximately 25 minutes if fresh. Allow more time for older and larger squashes.
Cut in halves and remove seeds with a spoon.
Put some butter on each half.
Sugar is optional. You may prefer to eat it with extra salt.
