  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tbsp custard powder
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 bananas firm and ripe
  • ½ lemon juice fresh

Instructions

  • Slice bananas and drizzle lemon juice over to prevent them from turning black.
  • Break up Marie biscuits into pieces.
  • Cover the bottom of a glass dish with the cookies.
  • Spread out banana rings over cookies.
  • Heat the milk.
  • Add sugar.
  • Prepare a smooth paste with the custard, dissolving it into 30 ml of cold water.
  • Stir the paste into the milk and bring to a boil while stirring continually.
  • Pour the hot custard over the bananas and cookies. Serve hot.

Notes

Tips
Ensure custard is hot when pouring for best setting, use ripe but firm bananas, for best results, let it chill slightly if you prefer it cooler.
Variations: Add a sprinkle of cinnamon or cocoa powder on top, try different fruits like berries or peaches, for a richer version, add a layer of whipped cream once the custard has cooled.
  • Serving Suggestions: Serve warm for a comforting treat, can be chilled for a firmer pudding, great with a dollop of extra ice cream.
